Kristy Kennedy

IMG_8338Kristy Kennedy was a member of Toronto Dance Theatre for 10 seasons earning a Dora Mavor Moore nomination for Best Ensemble Performance before turning freelance, and has performed works by many of the country’s leading choreographers, both nationally and internationally. She has appeared in several dance films for BRAVO and CBC, and has choreographed, designed and performed two short solo works — Home for the Full Scale Revolution, of which she was a founding member, and Chicago Overcoat for the 2013 Lab Cab Festival. Ms. Kennedy performed in the Canadian Opera Company’s production of Death in Venice, directed by Yoshi Oida, The Room’s collective theatre creationRed Machine: Under The Knife, Tiny Bird/Sore For Punching You’s Combat and assistant-directed Montparnasse for Groundwater Productions and Theatre Passe Muraille. She can be seen in The LA Complex on CTV/MuchMusic/the CW.  Kristy is also a freelance photographer, studying at Ryerson University, and has shot for many Toronto dance companies.
